Crab apple tree is the variety “Candymint." Usually few fruits, it had a great year. This year the jewelweed is so feisty, it grew right up into the tree. An unusual color combination here -- these deep green leaves, the maroon apples, the jewelweed flowers. Love this color palette.
This year I was so busy with non-photography I just kept the same two #vintagelenses at hand, mostly: Tokina 90 f2.4 and Olympus 50 OM f2 Macro. Usually I swap out #primelens s like mad.

I set the aperture to maximum (1.8), shutter speed to slowest (30"), iso to minimum (100), and got the camera aiming up on a tripod.

Also it's possibly the best weather I've ever experienced.
A little too dry maybe, but even when its ~41C under the sun, you can step under a tree and it'll feel like its ~20C.
