is in the news again. A narrative of ‘pesky companies putting prices up because greed’ might play well in the press but when all the cost (utilities, commodities, friction costs) skyrocket, which in turn pushes up fundamental (materials, wages, expenses, etc) then you either pass on the increases, radically cut costs (eg redundancies), or go out of business.

This won’t be fixed until the drivers on primitives get addressed. Wage and price freezes won’t cut it.
