Finally got my #raspberrypi resin #printer #camera working again on #bullseye, the solution is always simpler than you think... nope just died again.

Why would the camera cut out? I know #libcamera cuts when it no longer is being viewed but surely this shoudn't? It survives short term.

I have a laser #printer (HP2600n) from 2006 that still works very well. The problem is that it is becoming increasingly difficult to decent high quality #toner cartridge.

Was having a really stupid time getting my #printer working with #nixos despite everything saying it was dead simple.

It *is* dead simple, but it's not *obvious* and the documentation is somewhat inconsistent.

Nothing like a #printer to make you feel you don't know how to use tech. First it was not portrait orientation; then it was not double-sided; then it was 8-pt text because it was "scaling." Sorry, Grandma; I hope you have a magnifying glass, because I'm not printing it again.

I had to use a #printer today. An HP Laser Jet Multifunctional Something. Plugged in the USB, waited for Windows to install whatever, so after it said "All done!" I happily clicked on the Print button, just to find out that my document will remain forever queued - albeit with a status "Printing" - and will never come out of the stupid machine.

How are all printers so evil?!
