When printing, piracy and resistance go hand in hand... This 1944 war-time edition of Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám was printed in Amsterdam by the Dutch Resistance movement, pirating John Buckland Wright's illustrations for the Golden Cockerel Press edition of 1938. Found an amazing private press cowboy folk record today - even dedicated and signed by the artist. English and Western (murder) ballads, recorded and performed beautifully.
And maybe the best cover of all time??!!!
