Private prisons are immoral - no one should ever profit from imprising others (NYT 2017). Anyone who sees this as just a matter of cost efficiency has an adding machine in place of a soul. It could almost be called domestic rendition #privateprisons #domesticrendition

Its really about #nuance, nd avoiding making #generalisations.

Having said that, #police do seem pretty bad in the USA. Its their militarisation, and litany of bad policy throughot the years. Imprison rates, deals with #privatePrisons, we could go on and on. However yes, police at the individual level are likely to strive towards being good people, as do the vast majority of people on the planet.

Is it true that #Tor and #i2p are blocked in some cities where the #protests are?

If so that drives home the need for #meshnet (eg. #LochaMesh). Apparently there are people on the street using encrypted #walkieTalkies and #transponderLocators?

We've said it before but will repeat - the #US has devolved into an aggressive, #thirdWorld country.
