Now, I have a PC and a laptop, so when I'm not working for long stretches or stuck to my PC for reasons, I can't use the XDR which is a major ding. A $5000 monitor should have standard inputs, even if it's from Apple.

Also, it's 100% a limitation of the technology of the time, but it stings every time I reach around to plug in a Thunderbolt device and remember the 4 USB-C ports are not Thunderbolt capable.

Thinking about my rampant consumerism and a purchase that I didn't expect to pull its weight long-term is the XDR Display.

It's far from a perfect monitor and it's about $2000 too expensive, but it works "well enough" without issue.

Is that acceptable for a $5K monitor? No, but I dove deep into monitors and the only thing that came close is the Asus ProArt 4K Mini-LED, and you lose a lot of resolution and its also like 3 times as thick.
