Sometimes it takes a lifetime to try.
Sometimes it isn’t our place.

Suffering will always be with us
A consequence of cruel circumstance.
Some people will always choose drama.
The martyr their primary defence.

We can’t always choose fate,
though wisdom may know when to try.
But we can always choose to embrace,
helping the broken to fly

A good day is honest and simple.
And wipes away some stranger’s tears.
A good day I put myself out there,
despite all my own broken fears.

Sometimes it’s done with a smile.
Sometimes just a kind word.
Sometimes they just need your patience.
Sometimes they want to be heard.
.
Mostly we only act simply.
Simply accept and embrace.
Rarely we have all the answers,
but every pain has a face.
