Well, guess I should share what I'm working on now that I'm here!
My latest project is this tiny voxel island generator that I made for #procjam last week. It takes a random seed to create a cute little island :)
This was a very chill project. I was mainly interested in learning how to work with #godotengine's ArrayMesh, and I'm pretty happy with the results!

Yesterday I put up a build of the game I've been making for the #7dfps and #procjam game jams! It still needs some work (I wanted to at least submit a 1-week build) but I think it's kinda fun to play. I'm planning to do a little more work on it this week to close out the year, but feel free to take a look if you're interested.

This is likely the last free evening I have before the end of #procjam. After doing a bunch of QOL updates on my room generation tools I put them to work and implemented a second biome: the Labyrinth!

Wonderful day for the procjam project! Made my TTS program handle more words when it can't find it, and then made some quick python programs to help format the audio files needed to add new voices. So installing a custom text to speech program into a GameMaker project should (in theory) just take a few minutes! I don't know if anyone will ever use this besides me, but I'm going to use the crap out of this no matter what! #GameDev #GameMaker #a11y #ProcJam

Got a little more #procjam stuff done! The level generator can now place map features a lot more intelligently (although not perfectly, for eg the door), and it's a lot better at painting borders around things too.
Plus the builders can query the level now, where they used to be write-only! So the pond can query for the lowest point in the level, and its shore tiles can average themselves with the surrounding area, and the inn can draw a predictable rectangle.

#procjam is going well; I've updated the room generator to be able to show the individual steps of its progress and that's made putting other bits together SO much easier oh my gosh. I always procrastinate making PCG visualisation stuff but as soon as it's in you can get stuff done like 100x faster

Centered-background-image layout's looking a lot better than image-between-text layout. Procedural graphic design is difficult, even if the result is intentionally bad.
