Chats over the long weekend with good friends reminded me to try not to slip back into classic thinking. Don't sell yourself short, learnings are equally if not more valuable than other outcomes, and women tend to suffer more of this than men do - not always of course, but certainly a big chunk.
Everyone deserves a personal hype team - I needed mine this weekend!

Something I'm noticing as a new product manager is the cost of 3rd party software.
I know, I know, relatively speaking it's not much.
But from where I'm coming from - the world of "I'll just hack it together with some smart Google and Microsoft magic and a bit of Wizard-of-Ozzing" - it's adding up... and it's taking a while to calm my "do everything super cheap" farm.
Gotta keep reminding myself: spending money here saves time (which is also money) there. My time is worth more than the Wizard of Oz can give me!

Techy friends, I can't recommend Dovetail enough. Seeing all our interview insights digested quickly, easily and in one place is MAKING my DAY. Its interface is actually making me want to reach out to strangers to do more interviews. What a win!

Thinking a lot today about how to say 'no' in a way that's received well. Not just because I don't like pissing people off, but also because a good, decent, well-received 'no' can take us in really interesting directions.
