That’s from #Will_Baude, Faculty Director of the #Constitutional_Law_Institute at the University of Chicago #Law School, 2023 presenter of the annual Scalia Lecture, and former clerk for #Chief_Justice_Roberts. He was summarizing, for The New York Times, an article he and #Professor #Michael_Stokes_Paulsen will publish next year in the #University of #Pennsylvania law review.

They insist that there is no doubt #Trump has #triggered the #disqualification 👎 aspect of #Section_3 of the 14th #Amendment, and that it should be #applied_automatically by #State_Secretaries of #State. “Section 3’s disqualification rule may and must be followed – #applied, #honored, #obeyed, #enforced, #carried_out – by anyone whose job it is to figure out whether someone is legally qualified to office.” The Federalist Society constitutional scholars say it's #automatic. If you put #Trump on the #ballot, you are #BREAKING_THE_LAW.

And as academic and theoretical and dilettantish as this all sounds, these guys think it should be made really real: “There are many ways that this could become a lawsuit presenting a vital constitutional issue that potentially the #Supreme_Court would want to hear and decide,” said Professor Paulsen.

And Paulsen is a distinguished university chair and professor of Constitutional Law and Federal Courts at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota.

And #Steven_Calabresi, co-chairman of the #Federalist_Society, co-founder and co-chairman of the Federalist Society, says the Baude-Paulsen article is #a_tour_de_force that proves ..

“Trump is #INELIGIBLE TO BE ON the #ballot, and each of the 50 state secretaries of state has an #obligation to #print_ballots without his #name on them,” unquote – or they may be #SUED.

There could be enough to knock Trump off the ballot in individual states. And with Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington #CREW having #successfully #sued to remove a January 6th #insurrectionist from office in #New_Mexico, there is a #guidebook on how to literally #STOP Trump before he STARTS.

The Feasibility, Acceptability, and Efficacy of Positive Search Training for Irritable Youth: A Single-Case Experimental Design

<p>Although irritability is common in youth, research on treatment is in its infancy. Threat biases are more pronounced in irritable compared to low irritable youth, similar to evidence found in anxious youth. Therefore, interventions targeting these biases may be promising for reducing irritability. This study utilised a multiple baseline case series design to determine the feasibility, acceptability, and efficacy of positive search training (PST) for irritable children. Three children were included who met criteria for a principal diagnosis of Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD), and a secondary diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). PST was feasible with two of the three participants; one child refused to continue after one session. For the two participants who completed PST, acceptability was stable with moderate-to-high ratings of engagement and enjoyment, and high and stable treatment-relevant verbalisations of the key strategies. Both cases showed declines in DMDD severity across treatment and no longer met criteria at post-treatment. Both participants met criteria for Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) at post-treatment (considered less severe for irritability than DMDD). Declines in parent-reported irritability occurred for both cases, however some returns to baseline were observed. Overall, PST for irritable youth shows promise as an acceptable and feasible intervention. Further studies are needed combining PST with strategies for secondary diagnoses, given its high comorbidity with disruptive behaviour disorders.</p>
