#perfectionism is not a #leadership quality. The #traditional way, the fastest way, the most #proficient way of doing something is not the RIGHT way to do it.
Human beings crave #discovery, and individuality.
They aren’t doing it wrong, they are trying and testing new and better methods of doing old tasks.
#criticism is not a mirror into #reality and it is not #necessary for #improvement it is just a pretty bow that sits on top, it doesn’t comtribute to the base bones or function of a skill.

I thoroughly agree with #editor Sameen Siddiqui about who’s #proficient with #English. Time to get rid of #stereotypes about #nonnative English speakers. https://outside-the-book.com/2022/11/29/sameen-siddiqui/ #Bookstodon

There has been a lot of discussion of the term #NativeSpeaker in linguistics of late. But what about the terms #fluent or #proficient (or fluent vs. proficient)? @savithry and coauthors write about this a little w.r.t. language revitalization (citing Davis 2018), which is what I've been thinking about too. If anyone wants to have a mini-discussion of this issue, I'd love to hear it!
