Gotta mention the level of subjectiveness to the scoring of the subtests. and other testers who are not adequately trained in the needs and profiles of kids may under or overscore those subtests.

In the end, is just a number that gives some interesting info about a person, but it should never form the basis of your entire identity. Trying to raise the bar that exceeds what a test can actually measure does nothing for a program, except pump up egos. /3

I've been part of the community for ~20yrs. It's entrance requirements exceed . It never ceases to appall me how certain parents think the bar should be even higher. Yes, just like the opposite end of the spectrum of , kids have unique and needs, but there comes a point where we have to acknowledge the limitations of standardized testing. A higher number doesn't necessarily tell us what we think it does./1
