Though it's primarily a technological movement, it certainly carries shades of political activism as well, and it feels to me distinctly progressive in nature, because in many ways it's a reaction against the modern corporate dominance of the web.

Circling back to the use of AI for messaging in #progressivetech : this interview got me thinking a bit, specifically with the discussion of creating a lot of custom marketing funnels for each person on an email list (~28 minute mark.) Yet to be seen whether chatgpt can do that or indeed whether AI is any kind of fit for such a job - maybe it's something that good old heuristics can do? Definitely worth some thought.

Last but certainly not least, I hope to work on distribution a bit. The pie-in-the-sky version of this idea is to do some kind of "idea of the week" newsletter, and maybe even host virtual salons to brainstorm out solutions to some of the toughest problems facing #progressivetech. That's a lot of work, probably more than I can get to... but it'd certainly be fun!
