Just found about the localization language format that Mozilla created a few years ago for Firefox: Fluent
projectfluent.org/

Looks quite an improvement over other formats I know like gnutext (PO) and xliff.

A good implementation for .NET I could find is Linguini from Ygg01:

Just played with @mozilla's localization system (projectfluent.org/)

I built a quick-and-dirty integration with . It mainly consists in binding the Python runtime API to some template tags and filters.

Looking sweet! I find it a definite upgrade to Django's default gettext-based translation framework.

Of course, somebody has already been maintaining a properly-designed integration, and here it is: pypi.org/project/django-ftl/

Nothing happened on the repository in quite a while. But I'm still working on it (an centric ), just differently at the moment.

To be able to offer translations of the , I rely on i18n-embed, a crate that embeds the localisation resources directly into the app.

It supports both and syntax.
