A question I ask after reading Dave Karpf's essay about the infatuation of Elon Mosk and other "rich, white, extremely-online techies" (let me add: rich, white, extremely online MEN for the most part) with pronatalism:

Why? Why does this belief that the future lies in producing lots of people just like ourselves so compel rich white men?
