So, as it's Monday, time for another #iyp entry. For today, my Internet Yellow Pages (1994) requires Proof Of Cat; the only entry vaguely relevant is the Cat Talk Network with a telnet address. Of course long gone, and the domain points to 'Michigans largest Media Marketing Company), who took it over in 1995. So have a real #proofofcat instead...

Just starting to find my way around here, but I understand an #introduction is in order:

After working in academic IT support for (mumble, mumble) years, I joined my uni's infosec team just in time for the shift to WFH and remote teaching and research at the outset of the pandemic (and all the challenges that presented). I look forward to continuing to learn from the amassed expertise of this community, both those I followed here from the birdsite and those to be discovered on this new (to me) platform.

My background is in #archaeology (Roman and North American) and #digitalhumanities. I serve on my county’s animal #disasterresponse team and volunteer at a local #animalrescue so may only have photos of adorable foster kittens to offer in exchange.

This is Major Tom and he would like to be left alone to take a nap, thank you. He is my grumpy old man cat. But he is actually a big sweetie. He loves a cuddle from his favourite people and he has a very loud purr. He isn't very talkative but he can get his point across loud and clear with a killer glare.
