It's time for some #ProperCross #Cyclocross #WorldCup again! Today it's one of the older races on the calendar: #AsperGavere, also known as simply #Gavere. Typically a mud fest, but we'll have to see if it's the same this year. There's probably been enough rain!

Zilvermeercross #CycloCross in Mol. The women are off, and the weather is absolutely terrible. It's raining cats and dogs!

This is an evening cross, so they're riding laps around a lake (the 'silver lake' = zilvermeer) under artificial lights.

Just catching up with the #Dublin #CX #WorldCup now. So obviously I'm not doing a running commentary, because I'm much too late for that anyway. I will say that the course looks amazing! Not many difficult features, but it has all the different kinds of mud we could ever ask for: Shallow slip-sliding mud, frozen mud with unforgiving ruts, deep watery mud in blobs, fast downhill mud, uphill mud. It's mudderly beautiful, really a #propercross!

Is it a good race where one rider jets off and leaves everyone else behind? It’s not entertaining, that’s for sure. The Betsema-Van Alphen finale at Boom at least had an element of suspense. Puck made it interesting for awhile, but generally the weekend racing boiled down to solo wins that weren’t too interesting. #cyclocross #propercross
