Thereβs a really lovely #EverythingButTheGirl interview on the BBC website today.

Found this in a second hand record shop yesterday. Fabulous album by a fabulous band. #classicrock #magnum #propermusic #MemoryLane

After a little hiatus over the Christmas period, #progrockmonday has returned! This week's song is the delectable title track of the album A Song For All Seasons by Renaissance (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YdszVEg6e1Q).
In my view this is arguably their finest song and was the last of their epic compositions. In its own way and style, the intro is as impressive as that in Rush's 2112. The song is quite a journey, so please enjoy! #progrock #classicrock #propermusic

I'm a day late with this week's #progrockmonday, so sue me! π
The song I've chosen this week brings us to 2003 and is called Simple Ways by the excellent UK band Mostly Autumn from their album Passengers. Enjoy! #progrock #classicrock #propermusic

I've moved forward from the 70s for my latest selection for #progrockmonday. This week's song is Don't Ever Cry, Just Remember from the 1995 album Carved in Stone by #progmetal band Shadow Gallery: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ziJ564I6ZWE
Whilst having existed for a long time, Shadow Gallery have sadly remained under the radar and haven't recorded a lot of albums. Their musicianship and compositional skill is nevertheless excellent. Enjoy! #shadowgallery #progrock #classicrock #propermusic

For the second song in my #progrockmonday series, I've decided to go for something much more obscure.
Fruupp existed for 5 years from 1971-76 but, despite relentless gigging, never got the break or budget they deserved and you can tell this in the quite ropey production quality of their 4 albums.
However, they wrote plenty of excellent songs - here's Masquerading With Dawn from their final album Modern Masquerades:

Rather self-indulgently, I've decided to start a weekly series called #progrockmonday which will feature classic and less well-known #progrock songs.
First up, take a look at Sina's magnificent drum cover of Firth of Fifth by Genesis: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7cKkCI2fMU
I'd love to see other people's suggestions too! #genesis #classicrock #propermusic
