#OnlyOffice : 文書編輯軟體，但商用版申請框：臺灣標註五星旗
#Collabora Online：LibreOffice 的網路服務分支，但是感覺會吃好幾個 port 以跑
#Prosody：XMPP（比較開放的通訊協議），文件似乎比較多，但我沒裝成功，因為 #Pidgin 通訊軟體無法連到我的伺服器帳號

I run an #xmpp server with #prosody for ten years. If you want to run one for friends and family I would recommend you #snikket.

#Prosody trunk got some new module API methods for retrieving config options in the form of periods/time intervals, generalisering the previously mod_mam-specific way of specifying e.g. message retention times and various timeouts.

@sbb Oh, this actually reminds me: #prosody docs about s2s_require_encryption config option used to say that gmail.com and Google Apps domains didn't support s2s encryption (or had it disabled, who knows).

It definitely sounds plausible that Threads could, in some - insignificant at first glance - detail, be different from FOSS implementations of AP, that could in future require extra work from instance admins for compatibility's sake.

Well crap, looks like I may have to keep working on the #Matrix chat plugin for #PeerTube, I was hoping the updates to #Prosody plugin were going to resolve the scaling issues.

Need help with #Prosody #xmpp server

I have a #matrix bridge (matrix-bifrost with xmpp.js backend), which uses components. So, my config looks like this:
VirtualHost "rijndael.cc"
Component "muc-xmpp.rijndael.cc" "muc"
Component "bridge-xmpp.rijndael.cc"
component_secret = "[REDACTED]"

So for now, if someone at sends message to bridge-xmpp subdomain everything works. But I want my JID be at rijndael.cc, not on bridge-xmpp.rijndael.cc

What should I do? I tried to set up SRV records for domain to point on subdomain, but this doesn't work. Do I need to configure delegation (howwww) in prosody, so my component will take over control on whole server?
