Pretty good turnout today for the #protectStreetVendors buyout event in #SanJose, in support of the two local street vendors who were attacked in the past few weeks.

The event was held outside Intex Auto Parts, whose owner assaulted a local street vendor with a baseball bat. He’s been arrested.

Both vendors will be there, as will several auto clubs. The goal is to buy out the vendors to raise money, and show community support for local street vendors. A few car clubs will be there. There will be a live band. Maybe you can take a half hour off, have a good lunch there, and show your support.

There were two violent attacks on #streetVendors in #SanJose this past week. One man was sucker-punched outside SAP Center, and another assaulted with a baseball bat by the owner of Intex Auto Parts.

This Sunday, there will be a #protectStreetVendors event held outside Intex Auto Parts in San Jose at 1 pm.
