Ho disinstallato #NextCloud, #OneDrive e #ProtonDrive.
Le rispettive banche dati locali erano su di un HDD esterno.

Passando da portatile a fisso (laptop / desktop) rilevavano dei cambiamenti inesistenti nei file, avviando la sincronizzazione col cloud e duplicando i suddetti file sull'host e/o nella banca dati locale creando un gran pasticcio.

Questo non succede con #Mega e #Filen, che ho tenuto, e che quindi vi consiglio.

And my own files tab was *fourth* in the list.

For comparison: I opened Proton Drive, and my files are just... there in front of me.

I feel like one of these is doing a much better job of being a cloud file storage application.

I managed to get the #ProtonDrive windows client running on #Linux by adding it to steam as a non-steam game and running it with proton experimental. It's a hacky-ass workaround and you can't actually sync anything from your home folder since it doesn't support syncing from the Z: drive, but it actually fucking runs 🤣

Now if only they would get around to making an actual linux client...

One thing that will be difficult for me to give up is the #Bitwarden desktopapp.

If you use your #passwordmanager for other services, like SSH connections and terminal applications, it is quite frustrating to always have a browser window open. This is where I just love the dedicated application that always sits on my dock.

Just like #ProtonDrive, #ProtonPass needs a dedicated app for #Windows, #Linux and #Mac for it to even be considered a competitor in the space.

Je hebt verschillende mogelijkheden. Je kan zelfs een combinatie nemen van de onderstaande mogelijkheden (bijv: die je als 'off-site' backup gebruikt)

- Een NAS: Bijvoorbeeld #Synology
- #NextCloud (kan je zowel lokaal draaien als ergens managed nemen. Het tweede is gemakkelijker, omdat alle beheer (patching, back-ups,... enz ) voor jou gedaan wordt.
- #ProtonDrive: bestaat sinds een paar maanden (denk ik?) heb ook ProtonMail, maar ProtonDrive tot nu toe nog niet gebruikt.

I have been waiting for Proton to have a desktop client for ProtonDrive before I subscribe. I wonder who else is waiting for this to subscribe.

Holy shit, @protonmail just doubled my base storage to six *terabytes* for #ProtonMail, #ProtonDrive, etc. I’m only using a little over 16 GB.

Granted I’ve been a paid subscriber since the summer of 2016 (first on their Plus plan, then on Visionary starting the following year). But this is ridiculous.
