Wanted to share something good…

My daughter’s back in school, which means I’m back in school (homework). She’s learning algebra. I took it in the 6th grade with 7th/8th graders. But I forgot most of it.

She was crying when we sat down. She didn’t understand any of it. First I had to learn it, then try to explain it differently. By the time we finished, she was smiling and racing through the problems. That felt really good.

(story shared with permission) My daughter is an Eagle Scout. She's known for always carrying a pocket knife that comes in handy after shopping trips and during D&D campaigns, apparently.

At a college festival, she found herself in line for an exhibit with a bag check. She didn't have any pockets. Thinking quickly, she tucked the knife under a boob. Success!
