So my 10 yo nephew received a record player a while back and has been slowly growong his collection and musical tastes. I, being his uncle and also a music connoisseur of sorts, decided to gift him copies of U2’s WAR and Pearl Jam’s Vitalogy a while back only to find out that he has since discovered Michael Jackson, Dépêche Mode and ABBA!!!! *jawdrop*

When I took my 2-year old niece to Santa’s Grotto yesterday, she told Santa: “all I want for Christmas is for Scotland to be independent in the EU”.

It brought Santa to tears - the other children and their parents applauded and started singing Flower of Scotland.

One of my godnephews is having his #EagleScout ceremony today. I dropped out of Scouts as a Webelo in the 80s because I lost interest so I’m beaming with pride today that a kid born in 2014 stuck with his passion in Scouting and made it to Eagle Scout. I had an Uncle that made it that far way back when. #prouduncle
