Marcel Proust was born on 10 July 1871. The Paris Commune took place 18 March to 28 May 1871.
In looking for any connection between Proust and this short-lived revolutionary period but not finding anything he had written about it, came across this 2015 article in France Today written by Thirza Vallois.
This briefly sets Proust in his Paris in the Belle Époque, with the Boulevards of Haussmann and the new technologies of the time.
