Er ermöglicht es, die Kommunikation abzusichern, zu verschleiern oder zu beschleunigen. Die Verschleierung der Identität dient zum Schützen der eigenen Daten und zum Umgehen von Ländersperren.

but we stopped here because it was painful to set up #ssl certificate without having port 80 available on the #server. (a roomate needs it for some wp but will soon move it and we will continue at that time).
