Das „richtige“ #Monitoring Tool zu finden ist auch unmöglich.

Habe jetzt ne Zeit lang #check_mk ausprobiert. Stelle aber jetzt gerade fest, dass es nur mit richtig Aufwand möglich ist, Windows Performance Counter zu monitoren.

Ich würde ja gern einfach #Prometheus nehmen, aber da gibts halt keine „Templates“ für Hardware. Heißt da müsste man extrem viel selbst machen.

#PRTG kann zwar beides, ist aber so verdammt langsam. Ach über Dashboards brauchen wir da nicht reden. 🙄

Please help me out. I need a #monitoring system. I want to collect basic metrics (cpu utilization, hdd free space, ram usage, ...) and check for things like http response status codes, latency, ... I need to monitor both computers and network equipment (switches, firewalls, vpn tunnels, ...).

And of course I need notifications that do not trigger alert fatigue.

Which system should I use? #prometheus? #checkmk? #nagios? #prtg?
