Everyone knows what consent means, but what the hell is "sexualize"?

The dictionary says "make something sexual" but humans, like all other animals, are sexual by nature. Evolution made us this way 😀

I’m a fan of the Atlantic #TheAtlantic but I find this sort of article distasteful on many levels. I don’t mean to be a #prude but I think writing an article about the sensationalization of murder is itself #sensationalization of #murder.

I feel the same way about court reporting. I don’t like #Justice used as #Entertainment.

We are far too interested in the #purient #underside of #humanity.

For me it's somewhat of a class thing, or was. Growing up in Mexico I only ever heard it at a distance from manual laborers and such. I never heard it from anyone I knew personally, and it's not a word that I would use naturally.
I see that word used in the US in the same way as the F word is used in English nowadays, peppered into just about every sentence. I'd rather not hear either word. #prude

Is it an American thing to be overly offended by the occasional gratuitous swear word on YouTube?
