@3dprinting The conclusion to the story. Josef took care of me and my in-warranty printer and sent a new set of rods and linear bearings.
Thanks, Prusa!
Bedslinger users, how often are you replacing your linear bearings?
I didn’t know better and never lubed mine and after six months they sound like grindy garbage. Is that typical life expectancy for a hobbyist?
The final piece of the guitar is being printed. It's the core that holds the bridge, neck, strings, and electronics.
It started around 4pm this afternoon and will be done in 40+ hours. Total filament used will be just over 200m. Matte black PLA with 7 perimeters and 25% cubic infill. It needs to withstand some serious tension from the strings. When it's done, it will be 18cm high on the print bed.
I have a Telecaster-style kit that includes the metal parts and the neck. They will be added to this core and the rest of the parts will be glued/screwed to it. See one of the previous pics in this thread for how most of the other parts form the body.
Several more parts have been printed for the guitar. It's starting to look like something.

I went in to do some maintenance on my Prusa MK3S+, and discovered an error that was there since I assembled it. I can't believe I never noticed before now.
My X-Axis belt had stretched and needed tightening, and that's what I set out to fix. But I discovered that I hadn't fully inserted the X-Axis tensioner nut, and the tensioner screw (the one with the purple arrow) was held in only by luck and maybe by biting into the plastic. It certainly wasn't the way it was supposed to be, and I have no idea how my tension had ever been in spec!
In the latest MK3S+ revision, Prusa revised that part, possibly to make my stupid mistake less likely.
In any case, I'm glad I have things correct now. I'm back up and printing, and so far so good.
P.S. Also highly recommended to see if you have belt issues: the Prusa tension meter: https://www.printables.com/model/46639-tension-meter-for-the-gt2-belts-of-i3-mk3s-or-prus

Shout out to @Playactiontoys for this little addition to my desk.
I’m way out of balance now with this imperial pilot and @racoonmedia’s tie fighter and I guess need some rebel prints now.

I'm mostly printing PLA these days but have you tried the satin sheet instead of the textured? It's a middle ground between the smooth and textured and never had issues with peeling on it.

Owners of #prusa machines: I have to wash my textured sheet with a drop of dish soap basically every time I use it.
Is that normal?
It’s stored uncovered next to my machine in a rack and it has only sat for like 4 days this last round and my first layer peeled up immediately. A wipe with IPA doesn’t seem to help.
It’s not a huge issue, I have a sink in arms reach of my printer…I’m just surprised.

Printed the Tie Fighter model by @racoonmedia
It turned out great and my kiddo found it to be a fun project to assemble. Recommended.
ht to @ChrisPirillo who brought it to my attention.

Had a weird staircase y-axis layer shift, only in the first 2mm of a part.
Seems to have gone away with resetting the set screws on the y-axis stepper gear.
Can’t make sense of why that would cause the specific error, but if it works, it works.

Extended camera arm finished and being tested with a 16+ hour print. I'm glad it's not actually shooting video or it would be extremely shaky.
I think I'll look for a way to attach the arm to the frame instead of the (constantly moving) Z-Axis motor mount.
Added a nice LED light bar to my #PrusaMk3 so hopefully I'll get some good time-lapse videos of my prints.
But first, I need more links for the camera arm.

Natalie is working on a custom Thelio desktop accent. She's prepping the print in Prusa Slicer and designing a 3d rocket accent. Want to see her final design? Check out the video at https://bit.ly/3vTMIuf

Got a #Prusa MK3S+ kit for Xmas. Took hours and hours to assemble, but out of the 3 or 4 3D Printers I have assembled it might be the fastest to a good print because the first print was perfect the first time. Very happy with this machine so far.
