Die ersten Ergebnisse meiner ersten #3DPrinting Erfahrung mit dem #PrusaMK4 als Kit komplett selbst zusammengebaut. Der Bau hat gut funktioniert, nur habe ich unterschätzt das man wirklich ALLES zusammen setzen, schrauben und basteln muss 😅
Jetzt muss ich mich noch mit #FreeCAD anfreunden. Bis dahin gibt es ja schon endlose Vorlagen 😁

It's #FreeCADfriday again! This week:
Air exhaust w/ activated carbon filter for a #3DPrinting cabinet . The blue part (screenshot) will be printed in TPU to absorb any vibrations from the #Noctua fan. I'm gonna add a fine (fly–) mesh to the basket to keep the activated carbon granulate in place. The height of the basket (it's capacity) is variable by choosing any height for the acrylic. The basket is held at the cabinet's top plate with magnets.

Well, that turned out well. The PTFE tube is held tight and filament slides through like nothing.
The clamp works as intended. Just gotta add the option for a magnet and then it's ready for publishing.

Es hat ein wenig gedauert, aber es hat echt Spaß gemacht, den #Prusa #MK4 Kit zusammenzubauen. Die Anleitung ist sehr gut, die Teile (und es sind viele) ordentlich beschriftet. Da weißt du danach genau, wie dein 3D-Drucker funktioniert. Ach so, er druckt wie 'ne eins :blobcheer: #PrusaMK4

Exciting weekend project. The Mk4 build was completed and calibration was a breeze. First print was a failure due to extruder not actually having enough flow but second one, a small 2 layer rectangle( was spot on. #prusa #prusamk4 #3dprinting

Prusa MK4 Alpha Firmware is definitely promising (the Input Shaping is working better than I expected, given there is no local calibration), but the firmware as a whole was just too problematic for me in its current state. Had to swap back to stable so I can actually use the machine for now.

@geektoybox What would be your feedback on the #prusamk4 so far? I heard quite a few negative things related to advance linear, crash detection, jamming and unpolished firmware, but I guess it is biased because of Bambulab competitions who totally overhauled the market. It is just out of curiosity because I don't plan to add any more printing machine in my humble house for quite a time! 😄

Saw a paper on kirigami structures and @3dprinty suggested printing it on the #prusamk4 #MK4 so I threw it together in CAD and uploaded it to #Printables. https://www.printables.com/model/449133-kirigami-structure-example

Replaced the x carriage on my #prusa mini+ today to give better cooling performance, new part works great but I'm not enjoying retuning the z height on each sheet, didn't use to mind as that was just part of the process but now as I wait to get my #PrusaMK4 I count down the days to having a printer where this will never be neccessary. #3dPrinting

In preparation for getting a #PrusaMK4 I started work on converting my unfinished LACK enclosure for my mini into a double enclosure to hold both the mini and the MK4. Mini is in it's new home, just waiting on the insulation to keep it all snug in the scottish weather then I'll move across the heater bulbs and smash my old terrible attempt at an enclosure to pieces. Once I have both I'll have to look into ways to circulate the heat through both chambers equally without causing draughts.
