For #PS2sDay Phatasy Star 2 Sega Ages 2500 on the ps2. I usually play on my Retroid or Ayn Odin for the translation patch but you can get a soft mod and play the translated game on the original hardware as well. I like this remake it keeps to the original but enhanced graphics. #videogames #gamecollecting #retrogaming #phantasystar

It's #PS2sDay , and I'm fairly new to PS2 in general, but one of the most important PS2 games I wanted to collect was Silent Hill 2. At the same, I needed the Bit.Trip Collection and I got both around the same time from eBay a couple Decembers back. Enjoy the tonal whiplash I got when they both came in the mail the same day lol

For #PS2sDay one of my best memories of the PS2 console was playing Gran Turismo 4 at a company Christmas event. A family-style dinner at the owner's house and in the rec room there was a racing setup with the largest TV I had seen at the time.

I think I spent about 30 minutes before I gave someone else a chance. Fixating on video games while at a social event is a bit of an idiosyncrasy for me. 😅

For #PS2sDay I must admit I have only picked up the start of a diverse and large collection of games. Final Fantasy, Gran Turismo and Metal Gear Solid are all fun and mega series in their own right.

If I can ask folks to #ShareYourGames, what are some of your favourites? Can anyone recommend turn-based strategy games for the #PS2?

Apparently it's PS2 appreciation day #PS2sDay :playstation: I still use my PS2s regularly - two slims for PAL/NTSC. There are so many great PS2 games from era, especially RPGs. Some of them still hold up today: Dark Chronicle (aka Dark Cloud 2 in NA) is using cel shader art instead of low poly and is fun to play. The game is also included with PSN Plus (Extra/Premium) on PS4/PS5.
