This is a fantastic talk by @SharonPlon@twitter.com on when precision medicine goes wrong: examples of patients being told they had pathogenetic mutations that were later found to be benign... #PSB23
Dr. Burns Blaxall is talking about implementing precision health in a community health network: shifting (value-based) care from reactive to proactive. #PSB23
Making some new friends at the Pacific Symposium on Biocomputing. #PSB23 @PacSymBiocomp@twitter.com
It was humbling to share the stage with a few giants in the field (@Prof_Lundberg @askyperson @AaronNewmanLab & Dr. Laura Heiser) to present and discuss our work on single cell spatial biology for precision cancer medicine. #PSB23
Hello all. I will be giving a talk today afternoon at the Pacific Symposium on Biocomputing #psb23 (session: Single Cell Spatial Biology for Precision Cancer Medicine). If any of you are around, would love to say Hi!!
Me, a dermatologist, whenever I come back from the Pacific Symposium on Biocomputing with a tan. #PSB23
And we will hold a panel session for discussion on health disparities and methods to overcome these at #PSB23. Please submit your work on methodology topics for healthcare equity (see: https://stanford.io/3MGKXHx) and join the discussion at Hawaii next January!
Our #PSB23 session "Overcoming #HealthDisparities in #PrecisionMedicine" we selected six proceedings papers, incl. methods for equitable disease risk predictions, methods to patients by genetic similarity without the race, and methods to identify disparities. Additionally, @KeoluFox will open the session with an invited keynote talk: "Indigenous Data Futures: The Next 100 Generations."
