The P. subaeruginosa species of #Psilocybe #mushrooms resembles wood inhabiting species of the #PacificNorthwest. The filmmakers were apparently unaware of the role of nursery containers propagating #fungi favoring wood chips.
Psilocybes are #hygrophanous, viscid when wet but not upon drying as seen here:

If you thoroughly clean a jar, you need to re-inoculate that jar with spores again, right? Also, the last batch I tried to grow had mold on the mushrooms that grew and if that was from the jar and I thoroughly cleaned it, it can't be that, right? How can anything be growing? I'm probably not organized enough for this delicate endeavor.

A friend in the states has a set-up to grow magic mushrooms. Unfortunately I’m unsure of the species, but I believe it’s #Psilocybe and likely cubensis. Never tried them myself though I would relish the opportunity

Because I’m on antidepressants that function as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) I run the risk of serotonin syndrome from the mushrooms and, hence, I don’t take them

Found these hiding in my photo library and they looked like Psilocybe subaeruginosa. Not having taken them myself, a reverse search identified them as being from newspaper articles on ‘magic mushroom’ harvesting in the Southwest town of Balingup

New paper! “Standards without Labs: Drug Development in the #Psychedelic Underground”
 
We examine how a group of people with cluster headache developed a standardized protocol to treat their disease using #psilocybe mushrooms w/o equipment or institutional scientific support. They used an "embodied standard" that combines the dried weight of mushrooms w/subjective effects. Pragmatic goals for patient use differs from institutionalized scientists’ need for legitimation.
