But it does read everything else I throw at it, surprisingly enough. I'll definitely take it when those teeth are practically gone. It's not important for me to have that working on that console, because I can use it on my , & my SCPH-90001 slim is the I use for playing PS1 games. But options are nice to have & I'd like to test it someday.

Interesting that there isn't an alternative laser arm for all fat consoles that also make the gear teeth themselves metal (that I know of). 🧵

Just finished setting up these 20-30 year old passive that I recently got from my dad. The placement isn't ideal sonically but they look great next to my , which I use as a CD player, and they offer a significant improvement over the single speaker I was using ever since I moved my powered speakers and subwoofer to a different room.

I also rearranged my video game shelf.

Happy Independance Day, America! Still feeling a bit sickly today from last week’s wildfire smoke. Had a subdued holiday today; the wife and I had an early dinner with her parents, and that was about it.

I picked a new jRPG to start over the holiday weekend: Media.Vision’s 1996 PlayStation title “Wild Arms”. Because I’m a masochist, I’m running through the game twice concurrently… gotta get all those trophies!

The Specialized JoyStick was an arcade stick made by Asciiware for the Sony Playstation. It featured a Microswitched Joystick, and buttons for each of the button controls (square, circle, triangle, cross, L1, L2, R1 and R2). Each of these buttons also had adjustable turbo switches, which allowed up to 36 presses a second.

I think me and this are gonna experience most of the library for the first time together.

I was a fanboy, so I sort of refused to care about anything that was a PS exclusive, but there seems to be some really good stuff from the era that got even better on .
