Eliminating commonplace usage of a liminal space (i.e. a driving the commute, for errands, or social functions) resulted in value-expectation mismatch.
Now, we’re dealing with fall out from the fact that cars are psychologically isolating and neither provide respite nor make traveling through the liminal space better since March 2020.

@maaretp @adventurekateer a lot depends on the level of #psychologicalsafety within the team. If it is high, they feel comfortable challenging behaviors and decisions outside the team which are hurting their ability to deliver more value. If not, they value self-preservation over improving things.
Digital transformation can offer “richer data and more insights”, but you don’t lead with empathy, or have psychological safety to process the data currently being shared with you, and the insights are dismissed as distractions from the business and profit motive.
So, maybe this is why we can’t have nice things.

@tom_geraghty it depends on what we mean by "Political correctness". That phrase is used by some to ridicule valid criticism of overt bias and that clearly falls under the umbrella of #psychologicalsafety.
However, if it strays to the extremes that we have seen across multiple domains (e.g. rewriting children's books) or causing folks to have to constantly be on guard and worried about how what they say might be misinterpreted, that doesn't feel particularly safe to me.
