I remember seeing the "tumbling room" at York University featured on Popular Mechanics for Kids when I was still in grade school. I ended up being part of the team that decommissioned it 20 years later.

I believe it was episode 36 ("Zero Gravity") if you can find the show streaming somewhere. Episode took place in Vari Hall and BSB

The #Psychophysics #Toolbox (PTB) is great (e.g., gives platform independent, low-level access to the #graphics & #sound card) - but the code can be hard to parse, maintain, reuse & debug (esp. someone else's code!).

Is there any psychophysical correlate or diagnostic of #aphantasia? Do people with aphantasia take longer to perform certain visual tasks? Or are they perhaps faster at them, because they don't involve slower conscious mechanisms?

Would the same be true of people who lack an inner monologue, wrt. audio processing?
