@joel @atoponce Now it looks like Burung Hantu has deleted the #PTIO bug tracker. That’s quite revolting because it was rich with information. Those bug reports were a good way to see the harms & pitfalls of the tools that #PrivacyTools endorses. It also hilighted PTIO’s blatant disregard for accuracy and integrity.
@celia @klaatu @dsfgs Projects that exist for the purpose of privacy and #MACFANG avoidance (e.g. #PTIO, #PRISMbreak) have chosen #Github and #Gitlab.com for their own projects, and this I find most revolting: https://lemmy.ml/post/35452

@alf @janriemer@mastodon.technology For completeness & for the record, #PTIO also continues to endorse #DDG despite having the facts: https://github.com/privacytools/privacytools.io/issues/84#issuecomment-455862442 I want this on record so when a future scandal manifests whereby #Microsoft is cought exploiting data, this will show how foolish the privacy proponents were
@njoseph It's so foolish for Lissy93 to blindly copy #PrivacyTools endorsements, because now she is contaminated by the recklessness & poor judgement of #PTIO. See https://dev.lemmy.ml/post/31434
@strypey @jcgruenhage @cowan When I said ethical users don't use Reddit, it's a simple enough statement for microblogging. I don't see others deploying my strategy, but those who do would know they are excluded from my comment. #PTIO certainly is not. PTIO is trying to lead by poor example & it's a broken counter-productive way to lead.
@strypey @jcgruenhage @cowan #PTIO's approach to #Reddit would be a ruinous compromise if it were a compromise. But there's no compromise. PTIO does not condemn Reddit (in fact they send ppl into Reddit externally). PTIO does not steer Redditors outside of Reddit. PTIO supports Reddit 100%, using Reddit the way shareholders want it to be used; the way #privacy abusing beneficiaries (#Amazon) profit most.
