Pt Reyes National Seashore II
Pt. Reyes National Seashore is roughly one and a half hours north of San Francisco. It could be a whole other world as far as environment, population, and attitude.
This is beach is on the northern shore of Pt. Reyes.

@Obhaso not sure about kids but... maybe... have you checked out #Ventana #Wilderness area? really pretty comes out above Carmel river Here is a video. In the #SanFrancisco Bay Area there are easy backpacking options at #Marin Headlands and Mt. #Tamalpias State Park and #PtReyes
