Its no news that a Defence Secretary wants a larger share of #publicspending for the #military;

But given competing (urgent) needs after over a decade of #Tories' defunding of public services, we need a full & informed debate about defence & our role in the international community (so called).

It said the UK 'punches above our weight' in international relations but when the this comes at the cost of general health & well-being we need to think again about how we define those defence needs!
