Superb former Pyrmont Public School, designed by architect , now Pyrmont Community Centre run by @cityofsydney.
Note the fine tower entry & tapering brick columns.
Excellent example of public building being transferred & repurposed for public use.

Also some arresting costumes, programs & plenty of video footage about the building & events. Even Paul Robeson signing Old Man River to the workers!
Less on Utzon than he deserved..
but great to see the too-rarely-see Coburn tapestries featured.

The leaning pavilion of Glebe.
Yes modest but plenty of personality. Carefully enlarged by for @cityofsydney, with extended shade canopy on western side & enlarged change rooms on hillside, all the while working with wonky slope.

The public pool adjoins (name refers to purchase price from Aboriginal people - Terra Nullius?? As if it ever was!).
It’s only public below high tide line - @woollahramc, how about investigating more public access & swimming facilities?

Chatswood has become something of a little Tokyo; great combination of public space, serious transport & interchange, density, intensity & urban life. The Concourse Civic Centre a great asset, strategically placed.
Wasn’t always this lively.
Great model for many other such centres. Density alone not the answer.

There used to be a harbour pool in the parkland along New Beach Rd - why not put it back?
Or
