Well, Sting supposedly gets $5,000 per day, to this day, from P[uff] D[a|i]ddy for using the sample of “Every Breath You Take” and the vocal hookline in his Track “I’ll Be Missing You”.

Problem is, Police guitarist Andy Summers say he’s never seen a cent although he’s the one who came up with the guitar riff that is the actual basis for the Police song and the rap version.

Does Sting have the better attorneys? Probably. Is that fair? Probably not. To sum it up: Never make too much money with your art. Money distorts character.
