Another sign that some of the litter I'm cleaning up is decades old is the existence of these old "pull tab" cans manufactured during the 1960s and 1970s.

Day #2 of picking up litter along my commute route. I've found quite a lot of these old beer cans with the "pull tab" on them, and I'm starting to wonder how many decades this litter has been accumulating.

This document from Southern Oregon University suggests that the cans in this style were from somewhere between 1965 and 1975: hanlib.sou.edu/jimrock/additio
