Pink Floyd’s 1995 double live album, Pulse, is still one of the best concert albums of all time, imho. Just an exemplary recording of a band with a catalogue of astonishing good material.

Listening to it on the bus and I’m as blown away now as I was when I heard it almost 30 years ago.

I was in #Wiltonmanors in June, and the #LGBT community there had a more organized feel than when I visited in the past. Less unbridled partying. More memorials for #pulse and community coming together to take action.

It was one of the only places I felt safe in #Florida, and I hope the momentum I saw continues through out the rest of year.

"Brain Damage" is the ninth track from English #rock band #PinkFloyd's 1973 album The Dark Side of the Moon. It was sung on record by #RogerWaters (with harmonies by #DavidGilmour), who would continue to sing it on his solo tours. Gilmour sang the lead vocal when Pink Floyd performed it live on their 1994 tour (as can be heard on #Pulse). The band originally called this track "Lunatic" during live performances and recording sessions.

The day after #Pulse was also the day after Indy #Pride.

I spent that day at home with my (then) boyfriend - checking on friends. Both of us poor, trans, shocked, and scared.

I don't remember a day in years that the threat of violence wasn't on my mind.

I want my friends who aren't #queer to know that it's worse now. Threats are more explicit, more organized, and more political.
