Creo que #PuppyLinux consume menos de 100, no sé si puede estar en torno a los 50 MB de RAM o así.

@antoine3141592 Al final logré que funcionara instalándole el SO en un DVD (no tiene disco duro). Usé #PuppyLinux, y lo tengo como "tercer oredenador" (está muy limitado), pero da para lo básico. Lo tengo en una casa a la que sólo voy algún fin de semana por darle una vuelta pero está casi todo el tiempo cerrada.

Ese era el último paso antes de deshacerme definitivamente de él, ya una vez que deje de tener utilidad tal como está, no hay nada más inferior a #PuppyLinux que le pueda poner (al menos en modo gŕafico).

@Linux_Is_Best yep, it’s a wonderful distro that “just works”. I mean, #PuppyLinux is really the tool for me if nothing else works, but I only use that to fix issues and put (usually) #MXLinux onto the device.

Today I repaired my old coffee grinder (GDR product: SWM4). It works (again), just like that, for now over 50 yrs. +, I fixed an old laptop (Amilo, from 2006), still running Win XP - but practically unusable. Thanks to #opensource #linux and friends it now runs a #PuppyLinux

It's an incredibly satisfying feeling to breathe new life into old hardware, kind of like growing your first tomato yourself. Why do we live in a consumer society again? And can someone drop the whole #obsolescence thing?

by the way, #PuppyLinux is working great for me!

It worked great on my old laptop until it totally died, and now I use the same stick to run it on this old HP #laptop I got and its working great, and if it dies I can just keep on moving along with new screens/keyboards, but the same OS and desktop and files.

It's fantastic, highly recommended if you do a lot of browser-based or simple things with your #computer.

Any ideas for setting up Cisco #AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client #VPN in a #VM so I don't have to run it on my host OS to access remote files? It requires the GUI version for #2FA. I was thinking of setting it up in #PuppyLinux, adding squid proxy, and configuring host OS apps that require vpn to use the proxy, but I don't know how sane or efficient that is. My previous solution was simply running a #kali vm & doing all my code, ftp, etc. in the guest, but it's such a waste of resources
