We’ve got mention of Cloud Block Store on both #AWS and #Azure as well as the popular #Portworx cloud native storage platform from #PureStorage CEO during the #PureAccelerate keynote.

Now we have #PureStorage CEO Charlie Giancarlo reminding us that storage media matters, from CD to DVD to Netflix to flash. They’re really leaning in to the “hard disk is dead” messaging, their original pitch.

He says that “by 2028 there will be no new hard disks sold” which is a pretty bold (and unlikely) prediction. That’s easily 5-10 years ahead of my guess for the death of HDD. #PureAccelerate

And we’re live with ⁦‪#PureStorage‬⁩ at #PureAccelerate focused on the whole customer experience from the whole platform!

Wish we could get some of that sweet sweet #purestorage into the hands of the folks running #hachyderm. I think it would make some of those IO issues with the ornery Postgres instance melt away. But alas, I realize this likely isn’t in the budget just yet!
