What if instead of breeding dogs for desirable traits we bred them into an evolution - igniting an intelligence comparable to humans? It would be a multi-generational (millenial?) project. I mean other species are considered to be more intelligent but people just have so much enthusiasm for dogs already that on a practical level it might be easier.
