I used to use #pushover to send notifications to my mobile devices but I've migrated to #apprise and #matrix.
I like it very much.

When you get a vibration sensor and tape it to your old, dirty washing machine and hook it up to an #ESP32 #S2Mini (shown in a 3D case I whipped up).... you create your own "Smart" Washer.

You don't even care how absolutely filthy it is behind the ancient device cuz now you're getting #Pushover notifications when the wash is done.

The code wasn't even that difficult, which was a bonus. Just had to find a spot on the machine that jiggled enough during all the cycles (fill, wash, spin, drain) but didn't get triggered by the dryer next to it, then whip up a little "vibrate this much for this long it must be on, okay it's been still for this long it must be off. Wash is done!" function.

I am addicted to these things and have more random stuff I ordered from AliExpress when drunk on the way as well.

I've used #Pushover for years to deliver notifications to my phone, but I'm slowly switching things to #SelfHosted #Gotify

With servers, laptops, and a ton of docker containers, I run network caches to be a good neighbour, and prevent duplicate requests to upstream repos when I'm doing updates, builds, or deployments. For Apt-based repositories, I use Apt-Cacher-NG, for Docker images (runs on swarm), I have a Docker Registry Mirror (runs on swarm), #DevPi as a #PyPi cache (on swarm), and I have Squid running on pfSense for the odd HTTP-cacheable content.

I tried #Pushover on @phessler's recommendation and I'm pretty impressed! Very simple-to-use push notification service with a bunch of client options. It was pretty trivial to replace my YoApp alerts with a custom Pushover app. https://pushover.net
