Today’s moth on my finger is the Puss moth (Cerura vinula). Named and famed for its overall furriness, I’m personally drawn to the golden etchings and zebra-like markings on their wings. An absolute tank of a moth and one of my favourite species to grace the garden trap annually in late-spring.

I had such a positive response to my first moth post, I'll do more. All from my back garden, nocturnal, and released back into the wild.
This is a Puss moth, Cerura vinula, wingspan about 60mm.
I always follow back, and am really grateful for a boost.
