Talk title is "Sorry this talk doesn't have any #chatgpt : my experience submitting crowsetta to #pyOpenSci "

Exciting to see that @PyConUS has posted the videos from #PyCon2023, which includes my very first lightning talk at #PyConUS! Nothing fancy but I hope it's a good start to pushing myself toward my goal to give more talks and presentations at conferences. You have to start somewhere!
Here's my talk, which starts around 34:47, but I recommend browsing the other talks as well - there were some fantastic speakers there this year.

Glyph: How To Keep A Secret
API keys, passwords, auth tokens, cryptographic secrets… in the era of cloud-based development, we've all got a bunch of them. But where do you put them? How do you keep them safe? And how can you access them conveniently from your Python code, both in development and production, without putting them at risk?

And, as of today, a negative PCR test, nearly a week after I left Salt Lake City. Looks like #PyConUS's #COVID mitigations, and my precautions, worked for me!
More on what I did: https://www.harihareswara.net/posts/2023/pycon-2023-argument-clinic-mitigating-covid-risk/ & https://www.harihareswara.net/posts/2022/how-i-thought-about-an-in-person-conference-choice/ . I did find that the CO2 levels in some indoor spaces were ~500-600ppm, near outdoors levels, and thus was ok with lowering my mask to sip something indoors, which I did ~15-20 times.
Clear mask I wore on stage: https://jellim.com/

I have gotten a negative on an antigen test and a Lucira rapid molecular test since leaving #PyConUS2023 a few days ago, in addition to my negative tests while in Salt Lake City, so things are looking good so far re: #COVID. Hope others have also remained uninfected!

Looking for a little break from the excellent sprints today? After lunch you can join me in 251D or maybe the hallway outside for what we're calling the first #pyPolish -- I brought my gel nail kit, so time and supplies permitting you're welcome to paint your nails. I'll tell you about how gel nails work if you're new to the process. No, I'm not selling anything, this is purely for fun and to look pretty. Depending on demand I'll have the stuff set out until 5:30 or so. Here are some photos from yesterday.

Still anxiously awaiting videos from #PyCon2023 to drop on YouTube. I know I read they’d upload them after the conference. Does this mean after everything is done including the sprints?
Put up my first open source PR today at @PyConUS sprints! I promise it won't be the last! #PyCon2023
Still working through a backlog of photos, but this one was too good not to share while everyone is still following #pyconus #pycon #pycon2023 and #pyconus2023

Please please please come sprint with us on @circuitpython at the #PyCon2023 sprints! Type annotations are how I really got started with open source contribution, and we have a BUNCH of those! And, of course, there are other issues to squash as well, including bugs, feature additions, documentation, CI improvements, and others!
