Not enough of you have watched my #PyConAU talk where I poke at the idea of simple being "better than" complex.
You can fix that (if you have a spare half-hour): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUyR-Qbr4Yg
See now I think I should have obtained more constantines. I’m at a games night and I don’t have any to lob at anyone. A crime! #pyconau
Someone asked me this week whether other PyCons have the same culture as #PyConAU
@andrew attends far more than I do, so I'll leave it for him to answer: https://social.coop/@andrew@aeracode.org/110947405636551586
I was 50/50 on if I should have gone to @pyconau for the first time. I wasn’t sure if my current programming and python skills would high enough to make it worthwhile.
Watching the talks has they come up on YouTube, I know that I really should have. At least I know for next year. #pyconau #pyconau2023
That moment when you are unpacking and see a moment of Constantine convergence #pyconau
My other #PyConAU talk is up at http://youtu.be/zUyR-Qbr4Yg – it's a solid 7, maybe 8, as far as my opinion/commentary talks go.
Or you can watch me present it at #KiwiPyCon next month.
Also your choice.
My WORDLE-related talk from #PyConAU is up on the Youtubes.
You can either watch the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i97sCRCl6h4&list=PLs4CJRBY5F1KwxIxbTmhN9jX4hBtE-OKJ
Or read @sauramaia's deeply accurate one-toot summary: https://social.coop/@sauramaia@aus.social/110919484118347443
Your choice.
In case you were wondering Adelaide was very very good as far as indoor ventilation was concerned. #PyConAU
Crossing a thing off of my bucket list for #PyConAU: Lightning talk.
Let this be a start to working my way to a full talk at PyCon next year.
Saturday Lightning talks: https://youtu.be/NpdDfPwptFM
Sunday Lightning talks: https://youtu.be/SqM9OQMpRkI
I took the opportunity to ramble on about Go #baduk and AI.
I was born in Adelaide but moved at a very young age. I recently figured out that the way to talk about that is as a place that I am from, but not of.
I'm _of_ a lot of places and things. I'm of Hobart, I'm of Petaluma, I'm of the group of people I went to uni with, and I'm definitely _of_ #PyConAU.
Thank you, everyone who made this year's event what it was. Getting to experience a community that is so dear to me, at its best, in the place I'm _from_ was very special to me.
See you next year!
A huge thanks to all of the organisers, volunteers, speakers and other helper-outerers that came together to make @pyconau another incredible event.
Big shout out to Conference Director @daisy, and Core Organisers @sauramaia @mattcen @yaakov @nic_and_chips and @freakboy3742
Thank you!
Because I was curious after @terence's lightning talk, I scanned my Qantas boarding pass with my phone today. The barcode has my name, frequent flyer number, my ticket number, reservation number, and boarding sequence number...
So yeah, not really redacting anything, are they?
Bewildered friends and family by yeeting mini constantines at them. ☑️ #PyConAu
My #pyconau talk is on the YouTubes! It’s all about designing effective load tests with some technical info on Locust and Playwright
@nextdayvideo you all rock! A reminder that here are my slides! (Direct link)
