Anyone know what the future of @pyohio is? I can’t find anything about the lack of the 2023 edition, and I’m curious if it’s just a skip or if there’s a bigger change afoot.

Historically it's a multi-track in-person conference, but we've been doing single-track short talks remotely in response to Covid. We're hoping to do a hybrid event in 2023! When I went back to #PyOhio, the people I wanted to be in touch with were on Twitter. But I'd dropped it because my feed was nonstop hateposting*. Mental health 🆙

So I started sticking my head in bit by bit, and started unfollowing big accounts and those who mostly RT'd things that upset them… and it improved things quite a bit.

* Posting/RTing primarily to whip up anger. I used to do this.
